Q. Who is All that I Am for?
A: For those who have never gone on the internet and shared your stuff: All That I Am shows you which services you need to use for the different types of projects.
For those of you who are already using the services that All That I Am is working with. This is very easy. Just log into All That I Am and embed your URL and it'll show straight away.
For those of you who are using other services that don't embed with All That I Am. Well, you're harder to persuade as you are going to need to put your work on other services. We know this means taking some time and we think that maybe just putting one or two of your work on All That I Am and then linking to other work via your profile might be the way. But we want you to join us...
Q. My work is saved on Myspace and similar websites - why can't I link these to All That I Am?
A. You will need to be a user of at least one of these services before you can share your URL or embed into All That I Am.
For the techies: All services are available because they are compatible with oEmbed. oEmbed is a format for allowing an embedded representation of a URL on third party sites. Many sites do not use oEmbed, however if you find the site you use does, then please let us know and we will do our best to incorporate at the next site update.
Q. Why can't I rate and feedback on content?
A. Are you registered and logged in? Only registered users can give feedback.
Q. I've uploaded my stuff but I can't find it when I search for it. Help!
A. Have you included key words? These are essential for the website to find content. The website will either search by 'user' name or key words, it does not search by title. A selection of keywords are suggested when you first upload a piece of work.
Q. I've used key words but I still can't find the piece of work I'm looking for.
A. The left-hand navigation search facility will only search by content, however if you click on this orange search button a more detailed search page appears, allowing you to search by content or user (choose from the top orange navigation bar).
Q. I like a user's uploaded content - can I see all of their work together?
A. Yes, if you scroll down under the piece of work, you can click on the user to see all their work (in fact, we also show thumbnails of user's work below each main piece).
Q. I would also like to befriend them or contact them personally via email. Is this possible?
A. Yes. You can befriend someone by clicking on their name. This takes you to their profile where you can befriend them via 'Relationship Actions'. To contact them via email, simply click on 'Contact' in their top navigation bar on the user profile.
Q. I REALLY like a user's content, am i allowed to use it or post it on my website.
A. No. Copyright laws apply. However, why not contact the user through the site. To contact a user, please click on their profile and leave feedback on their contact form.
Q. Can I sell my stuff?
A. This site is for creatives to display and share their work, offering and accepting constructive criticism and provoking debate. If however you have a website where you sell your work, we hope that you will include that in your profile and direct people there.
Q. Why is All That I Am free?
A. All That I Am was begun by Alba Lewis who wanted to give people like herself an opportunity to explore the creative side of life and share it with others. No one uploading creative work will be charged and the intention is only to go for advertising etc. if the website costs becomes too great.
